HAJE HALIMEH CW ASOMATOS

* We have received reports that general cargo ship, HAJE HALIMEH came into collision with bulk carrier, ASOMATOS whilst in a position south of Tekirdag, Turkey on 12 October 2023.

* Bulk carrier, ASOMATOS is reported to have been on a voyage from Kerch, Ukraine to Haifa, Israel, also laden with grain.

* HAJE HALIMEH sustained structural damage to the port aft quarter whilst ASOMATOS sustained denting and scratches to the starboard bow shell plating.

* Both vessels moved to anchor at Tekirdag anchorage pending inspections.

* It is possible that General Average and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board HAJE HALIMEH so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
