HUMBER RUNNER

* We have received reports that general cargo vessel, HUMBER RUNNER, ran aground on the embankment of the Kiel Canal, Germany, on 3 September 2023.

* The vessel was temporarily unable to move due to the rudder system failing. After restarting the rudder hydraulic pump, the vessel was able to continue its voyage to Brunsbuttel, Germany, where it berthed.

* Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the incident.

* It is possible that General Average may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
