* Further to our initial Report, we are advised that salvage services are being rendered to the vessel by professional salvors under the terms of an LOF Salvage Agreement.

* Consequently, Salvage Security will be required to be provided by a party acceptable to the Salvors or the Council of Lloyd's on behalf of any salved cargo interests and W K Webster may be able to assist. Security provided by WKW is acceptable to the Council of Lloyd's and widely preferred by professional Salvors.

* If General Average is declared, General Average security may also be required from all salved Cargo Interests prior to the delivery of their cargo and we are also likely to be able to assist in that regard.

* We therefore, again, recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.

* We have received reports that vehicle carrier FREMANTLE HIGHWAY experienced a fire within the vehicle decks in a position approximately 27 nautical miles off the island of Ameland, Netherlands on 25 July 2023.

* It is reported that the crew attempted to extinguish the fire but were unable to do so. The crew were later evacuated from the vessel by sea and air. Sadly, one crew member is reported to have been killed as a result of the fire.

* We understand that the fire is continuing to burn and that the vessel has been towed out of the sea lane. Assistance is currently being provided to the vessel by numerous tugs and safety vessels.

* It is likely that GA/Salvage and Recovery issues will arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
