TORM SARA

* We have received reports that product tanker TORM SARA ran aground in the Great Bitter Lake whilst transiting the Suez Canal on 11 April 2023.

* It is reported that tugs were deployed to assist the vessel to refloat and the vessel later moved to anchor at the Suez Canal South anchorage for inspection.

* It is possible that General Average/Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
