Report

* We have received reports that Bulk Carrier OS 35 came into contact with LNG Carrier ADAM LNG while manoeuvring to exit the Port of Gibraltar on 29th August 2022.

* Following the collision, the Port Authority directed OS 35 to Eastside to be beached to prevent the vessel from sinking. The bow of the vessel is now advised to be resting on the seabed in 17 metres of water, listing by three degrees.

* With consideration to the condition of the vessel where the forward cargo holds are submerged, it is likely that the cargo will be affected by water ingress. We may be able to assist with any cargo surveys required at destination to assess any damage.

* Following an underwater survey, significant damage was found to the starboard side including a gash amidship below the waterline about 10 metres by 4 metres. The vessel is considered to be in a stable condition.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
